About Danette
Although I love working as a professional writer and editor, it wasn't my first career choice.
After graduating from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Communication
Studies, I embarked upon a decade-long career in Finance (specializing in
Securities Compliance) for firms like Bankers Trust, Morgan Stanley, and INVEST
Financial Corporation.
After writing countless business letters, company newsletters, and manuals, I realized that I wanted to write and edit full-time. I changed careers in 2006, and have been in love with my work ever since.
